The Echelon Group was proud to sponsor the table favours at last night’s Chartered Institute of Housing’s Presidential Dinner, opting for some rather delicious branded chocolate truffles.

CIH president, Lara Oyedele, shared the CIH’s vision on supporting the sector and highlighted her presidential campaign, “In my shoes” which challenges the lack of ethnic and racial diversity in the boardrooms of housing organisations.

During Lara’s presidential term she will be fundraising for her chosen presidential charity, Shoe Aid, which speaks to Lara’s lived experience of homelessness as a young woman, as well as her love of shoes.

All guests at the event, which is one of the highlights of the housing calendar, were encouraged to take along a pair of shoes to donate to the charity which aims to reduce footwear poverty and cut down on footwear waste and its impact on the environment.
