Echelon Sponsors Creative Workshop at Herts Young Homeless Sleepout
On Friday 7 November, members of the Echelon team joined the annual St Albans Sleepout at Oaklands College to raise awareness and funds for Herts Young Homeless (hyh.)
Participants bed down for the night in the grounds of the college, with only cardboard structures, which they build themselves on arrival, to protect them from the elements.
The event aims to give those who take part a small insight into the challenges faced by those without a safe place to sleep, while raising vital funds for the homeless charity.
Echelon was proud to sponsor this year’s Creative Workshop, which gave attendees the chance to decorate pillowcases and caps before bedding down for the night. Taking part from Echelon Group were Business Development Manager, Richard Mardle, Pretium’s Business Development manager Millie Davies, and Pretium’s Framework Manager Tom Millican, who joined over one hundred of others in supporting hyh’s work.
This year’s event has already raised more than £26,000, with donations still coming in. Funds raised from the Sleepout will help hyh continue to provide essential support and advice to young people in Hertfordshire who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
