Team supports Herts Young Homeless at Charity Golf Day
Members of the Echelon Group team had a great time supporting our charity partner, Herts Young Homeless (HYH), at its first golf day of the year.
Mathew Baxter, Echelon Group CEO, Simon Tipple, Financial Controller, Peter Gudge, Consultant, and Nick Hann, Consultant for Pretium Frameworks Ltd, put their golfing skills to the test at the tournament, which raised a staggering £8,581.
The money will go toward supporting vulnerable young people in Hertfordshire and will enable hyh to continue to provide vital services to help prevent homelessness.
The charity works with young people, aged 16 to 24, who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness and 10 to 15-year-olds whose families are at risk of relationship breakdown, as well as over 18s with housing and support needs, including care experienced young people and those with mental health and substance misuse challenges.
The charity’s main aim is to prevent homelessness and to empower young people to be able to deal with the difficult situations in their lives, giving them the ability and confidence to ‘do it themselves’ and ultimately find stability. It also offers advice and support to those in crisis, help for vulnerable adults with mental health issues and ongoing support for those in their first home.
HYH will be holding a second golf day at Berkhamsted Golf Club on Thursday 28th September.
