HYH Charity Gala Raises Over £23,000 to Support Vulnerable Young People
On 15 May, members of the Echelon team joined nearly 200 guests gathered at the luxury Tythe Barn at Tewinbury Farm for the Herts Young Homeless (HYH) Charity Gala, an inspiring evening dedicated to supporting young people experiencing homelessness. Building on the success of last year’s 25th anniversary gala, the event brought together community members, trustees, and supporters to raise essential funds for the charity’s ongoing work.
The evening featured a raffle and a live auction, with all proceeds going directly to HYH’s services. In attendance was the Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, Robert Voss CBE CStJ, who joined guests in recognising the charity’s efforts to provide support, safety, and opportunity to vulnerable youth across Hertfordshire. Echelon Group CEO, Mathew Baxter a trustee on HYH’s board, hosted the live auction, and after the event he reaffirmed his commitment to the charity’s mission. “The gala dinner was a great opportunity to share the amazing work HYH undertake with young people in Hertfordshire,” he said. “Hearing the experiences from service users of how HYH has supported them reinforced the importance of supporting this charity to existing supporters and hopefully some new ones too.”
The gala raised over £23,000 and featured powerful testimonials from individuals who have benefitted from HYH’s support, offering a heart-rending reminder of the charity’s impact and Organisers thanked all who contributed, to the success of the event.
