Echelon Fourball Attends Peter’s Memorial Charity Golf Day
Members of the Echelon Team came together to honour the memory of their colleague, Peter Gudge, at a Memorial Charity Golf Day held at the glorious West Kent Golf Club in Downe, Kent.
The event was organised by Lura Construction Ltd, where Peter served as Head of Commercial, alongside his role as an Associate at Echelon.
Sixteen teams took part in the tournament, celebrating Peter’s life and love of golf while the event in aid of Multiple Sclerosis Society UK, a cause close to Peter’s heart.
Players arrived for breakfast before the first fourball teed off at 10:30am, with the Echelon team starting their round shortly after. Representing Echelon were Head of Group Finance Simon Tipple, and Group Marketing Officer Jack Sharman-Dodd, with Echelon Consultancy Business Development Manager Richard Mardle, also taking part as a guest player in another fourball.
Despite the typically unpredictable UK weather, the day was full of good humour and friendly competition. Following the golf, guests enjoyed a three-course dinner, with a raffle and auction, with all proceeds donated to the Multiple Sclerosis Society UK.
The evening included moving tributes to Peter from Lura Construction’s Managing Director Paul O’Donnell, Simon Coveley, and Peter’s son, Saul Gudge, who shared a heartfelt reflection on his close relationship with his father.
The event was a meaningful tribute to Peter’s passion for golf and the friendships he built throughout his career, reflecting the generosity and community spirit that defined him.
