Peter, who is a chartered quantity surveyor, has over 30 years’ experience working across the construction sector. He leads on the commercial aspects of procurement projects, from scoping through to mobilisation.

Working closely with clients to gain an understanding of their commercial processes Peter provides advice and guidance on the commercial elements of contracts, developing specifications and KPIs, as well as technical and pricing documents.

He is adept at reviewing processes to reduce duplication and waste and to provide a customer-focused efficient service, assessing service deliverables against specifications, analysing costs and gaining the client’s perspective of service delivery. Through options appraisals on existing contracts and reviews of operational delivery models, Peter helps clients develop future options and supports them through all stages including a full procurement process where required.

He also undertakes detailed commercial reviews of tenders to ensure the overall commerciality of contracts, facilitating the various stages of the evaluation process and investigating pricing issues.

Peter provides support to clients in disputes around commercial issues, analysing documentation to see whether a compromise can be reached, assisting clients in negotiations and advising them of their rights under a contract.

Outside of work Peter has three dogs and three adult children to keep him busy. He’s a keen but poor golfer and spends most of his free time on the golf course or seeing to chores around his house.
