Inaugaural track day raises over £10,000 for Herts Young Homeless
Echelon’s CEO Mathew Baxter and MD Aaron John, were joined by Dom Baxter and Ollie Gilles of GVD Building and Restorations to fulfil their need for speed at the Herts Young Homeless inaugural track day.
The team put their racing skills to the test, speeding past the competition to land first place at the event at Rye House Racetrack, Hoddeson.
Over ten teams took part, raising £10,051 for the charity which works with 16-24 year olds who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, and young people aged 10-15 whose families are at risk of a relationship breakdown.
Herts Young Homeless also offers advice and support to those in crisis, providing support to vulnerable adults with mental health issues and people over the age of 18 who have experienced the care system and those with mental health and substance abuse challenges with housing support needs.
The amount raised also includes Mathew’s additional donation of £25 per person, and doubling of the original amount raised by HYH’s charity partners Helping Herts.
