Festive Quiz raises funds for World Child Cancer
A great night was had by all as two teams from the Echelon Group participated in the annual Ambassador Christmas Quiz, at the Alice, Houndsditch in aid of World Child Cancer.
World Child Cancer is a leading international children’s charity dedicated to addressing the global inequality in childhood cancer care.
Founded in 2007, it supports programmes across Africa, Asia and Central America, collaborating with local hospitals, ministries of health, and communities to strengthen childhood cancer services where the need is greatest.
While over 80% of children survive cancer, in high-income countries, survival rates in low- and middle-income countries can be as low as 20%.
The event raised a whopping £40,000 for the charity with over 30 teams of housing sector professionals taking part.
The Echelon Group teams were as follows:
- The Pineapples – Mathew Baxter, Sharon Hunt, Lisa Hodgman, Jenny Lloyd, Jane Wood, Karl Shaw and Martin Francis
- We Came, We Saw, We Guessed – Aaron John, Jessica John, Michelle Gordon, Katie McVea, Richard Mardle and Helen Francis.
They battled their way through rounds of trivia, to finish in 26th and 21st place, respectively.
Well done to all who took part and to the Ambassadors for a highly successful event, which will make a huge difference to children.
