Echelon Consultancy Attends NHMF Maintenance Conference 2026

Business Development Manager, Richard Mardle, represented Echelon Consultancy at the NHMF Maintenance Conference, held in Stratford-upon-Avon on 20 January.

The event brought together organisations from across the housing and maintenance sector, providing an opportunity to discuss current challenges, emerging priorities and developments in maintenance and asset management.

This year’s conference focused on three key themes. The first was Keeping Homes Safe, which covered building safety, compliance, fire safety and updates on Awaab’s Law, alongside practical approaches to implementation. The second theme, Keeping Homes Warm, explored net zero ambitions, energy efficiency, retrofit strategies, funding models and resident engagement in energy improvement programmes. The third theme, Keeping Homes Healthy, centred on creating healthier homes by reducing damp, mould and poor air quality, and strengthening the link between housing interventions and health outcomes.

During the conference, Richard spent time connecting with clients and suppliers and sharing information about Echelon People. This service focuses on helping organisations with interim placements, operational support and project delivery across a wide range of roles and projects. He also provided insight into Skills Solutions Group, a new training organisation which the Echelon Group has invested in. Skills Solution Group focuses on educating, training and developing individuals within the construction sector, with the aim of helping to address the ongoing skills gap.

The NHMF Maintenance Conference continues to be a valuable forum for collaboration, knowledge sharing and discussion across the sector.
